Typing Rules:
CSIR JSA Recruitment 2025 English Typing & Hindi Typing Rules.
Eligibility:
To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum of 1750 keystrokes in English or 1500 keystrokes in Hindi. Retyping of the passage is not allowed once the test is completed.
The gross speed and net speed will be calculated based on the total number of keystrokes typed, where 5 keystrokes equal one word (i.e., 5 keystrokes = 1 word). Errors will be evaluated on a word-by-word basis, considering any mistakes made during the test.
Exam Pattern:
For the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) at CSIR-CRRI, a typing test will be conducted in English or Hindi, based on the candidate's preference indicated during the application process. The typing test will be qualifying in nature, and the final merit list will be prepared solely based on the marks obtained in Paper II of the written examination.
Typing Language:- English or Hindi (as per candidate's preference) during the application process.
Typing Font:- For Hindi typing, the Kruti Dev 010 font will be used. However, some CSIR Institutes have also used the Mangal Inscript font along with Kruti Dev 010.
Typing Speed:- 35 w.p.m for English and 30 w.p.m for Hindi typing.
Time Duration:- 10 minutes.
Passage Length:- Minimum 1750 Keystrokes in English and minimum of 1500 keystrokes in Hindi.
